Mothers Day Concert with the Allentown Band
May 9 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
The Allentown Band is the oldest civilian concert band in the United States, having been in continuous existence since its first documented performance on July 4, 1828, although its origins may trace back to as early as 1822. The Allentown Band represents a true cross-section of population — doctors, engineers, teachers, business people, merchants, sales personnel, service professionals, and students. The membership also ranges from high school students to senior citizens with more than sixty years in the band. All bring a professional attitude to every rehearsal and performance.
