Aquatopia at Camelback Resort is Day Trip You Have to Take! | Lehigh Valley Moms

Camelback Aquatopia Waterpark family experience brought to you by Lehigh Valley Moms.

Pack your swimsuit and sunscreen because Camelback’s Aquatopia is a car ride away to 84 degree Caribbean like waters with glass ceilings that let you tan while you play. Best part, it is only an hour or so away from the Lehigh Valley! This is a one-tank-trip you don’t want to miss.

You have several options when visiting Camelback. You can stay and enjoy the indoor waterpark, Aquatopia, which is included with your room or you can take a day trip and head to the water park for some fun before heading home because it is so close to the Lehigh Valley.

We wanted to surprise the kids for having such an amazing school year so we picked a weekday and headed to Aquatopia without them knowing. It was a success and the looks on their faces when they saw the waterslides coming out of the building was priceless! My ten year old loves waterslides so the happy dance that happened in the backseat was priceless!

Aquatopia at Camelback has lounge chairs all around the waterpark. Get there early and snag a prime spot at the pool of your choice. While the lounge chairs are fantastic and can offer prime viewing to your preferred pool, can I just say that Cabanas are 100% worth it? Cabanas offer some privacy for when you need a little downtime out of the water, especially if you have young kids that need a nap. They also offer a great meeting spot if you are there with multiple families or older kids that need a group hub throughout the day. Cabanas come with a mini fridge and complimentary water in addition to food service right to your table, a couch, tv, and lounge chairs. The curtains close to help darken the room or give you some privacy. If you leave them open, expect to see a server every 15 minutes or so just checking in.

We spent most of our time between Kartrite’s Quest, the multilevel play area with spray structures and smaller waterslides and the wave pool. These were the two spots our 6 year old and 10 year old could have the most fun together. My favorite part, however, was Adventure River, a lazy river that we all enjoyed floating around the tubes and being crazy together. Adults can also enjoy the swim up bar and hot tub! My daughter loved the Bombora Flowrider where she took a boogie board and hit the waves with the lifeguard teaching her some pretty cool tricks. She wants to attempt it surfing next time we go!

We spent the day, open to close, laughing and having fun as a family. It was much needed after such a crazy year. We chose a weekday in June for this daytrip and it wasn’t packed inside. We didn’t have to wait in lines and we had a lot of room to play and have fun without feeling uncomfortable. Before we left for the drive back to the Valley, we had some fun in Arcadia and had a blast with the 7D Dark Ride where we battled robot cowboys together. Yes, we rocked our pjs for a comfy ride home just in case the kids fell asleep. Since Camelback is a resort, you can stay comfortable and still have fun!

Camelback Arcadia

Camelback Aquatopia is worth the drive for a day trip (but even better to stay overnight!). Check out the site for fun all year round. It is also one of our snowboarding and snowtubing destinations in the winter!

*I was offered complimentary day passes to Camelback Aquatopia. Although I was provided experiences, all opinions are my own.
